King Stone Dairy - Artisan Cheesemaking in the Heart of the Cotswolds.

 

Nestled in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, King Stone Dairy is a small-scale, quality-focused farmhouse dairy founded by David Jowett. With a background in culinary arts and artisan cheesemaking, David honed his craft at Neal’s Yard Dairy and Jasper Hill Farm in Vermont, before launching King Stone Dairy in 2015 with a commitment to sustainable, single-herd cheesemaking.

 

King Stone Dairy’s flagship cheese, Rollright, quickly gained a devoted following for its rich, buttery flavour and distinctive spruce-bound rind, a nod to traditional Alpine styles. During the COVID-19 pandemic, David introduced Ashcombe, an award-winning Morbier-style cheese, which went on to be crowned Supreme Champion at the British Cheese Awards in 2022.

 

Dedicated to regenerative agriculture and exceptional craftsmanship, King Stone Dairy produces cheeses that reflect the unique terroir of the Cotswolds, with organic milk sourced from a single herd. Each cheese is a testament to passion, expertise, and the art of traditional British cheesemaking.
