Situated in Shelley, near Huddersfield, Barncliffe Dairy is a specialist artisan cheesemaker renowned for its handcrafted Barncliffe Brie. Using milk from a nearby herd of Meuse-Rhine-Issel cattle, the dairy follows traditional cheesemaking methods, ensuring a rich, creamy texture and a distinctive depth of flavour.

 

Barncliffe Brie has earned prestigious recognition, winning Gold at the 2010 World Cheese Awards and Silver at the 2011 British Cheese Awards, securing its place as one of Yorkshire’s most celebrated soft cheeses. Alongside its famous Brie, Barncliffe Dairy also produces Barncliffe Blue, a unique, Stilton-style blue cheese crafted with pasteurised milk, offering a bold yet balanced flavour.
