Nestled on the picturesque Ashley Chase Estate in Dorset, Ford Farm has been producing exceptional farmhouse cheeses since 1972. Renowned for its dedication to time-honoured techniques and locally sourced milk, this artisan dairy crafts some of the UK’s finest Cheddars, using recipes and methods dating back over 600 years.
Ford Farm’s cheeses capture the essence of Dorset’s rich landscape, with standouts like the famous Cave Aged Cheddar, matured in the ancient limestone caves of Wookey Hole, which develops a unique texture and depth of flavour. Another standout, Coastal Cheddar, is matured along the Dorset coastline, giving it a robust, rugged character with signature calcium lactate crystals for a delightful crunch.
Beyond Cheddar, Ford Farm crafts Dorset Red, a smooth, mellow smoked cheese, and Dorset Crofter, a sheep’s milk cheese inspired by Spanish Manchego, each bringing something truly special to their award-winning range.
